Doo Wop Hop!

Poster 8-24-16 Reduced Come one come all to the “Doo Wop Hop”! The GBVS fall event is headed back to the 1950’s for some good ol’ fun! The evening starts at 4pm with an outdoor car show and festival. There will be vendors, free snacks and refreshments and stay tuned for more details to be announced. At 6pm take a break and enjoy dinner with new friends. There are some great local eateries within walking distance in Newton Center.

Then at 7pm we’ll start the main show indoors with a free dance lesson by Hop to the Beat Studios. The Doo Wop Deville band goes on at 8pm. Expect great tunes from this band, they are an accomplished group with a big following! They will be playing a mix of doo wop, rock and roll, and jump blues which will make just the right mix for our swing and blues dancers! The night will include a free “twist” dance contest and we’re working on other fun activities which will be announced soon!
