WWII Victory Celebration! 1940’s September
The WWII Victory Celebration! is a 1940’s themed festival that pays tribute to the September 2nd 1945 official end of WWII. 2015 marked the 70th anniversary of the end of the war. This event features both an outdoor and an indoor portion. Outside, guests are treated to an antique car show of period vehicles, vendors with vintage goods, displays of 1940’s period life, and more. This is a great time to take photos, meet veterans of WWII and hear their stories. Plus there’s a free swing dance lesson as well as wartime inspired snacks!
Then move inside to the main hall where the big band orchestra will start! The National Anthem kicks off a night of period 1940’s swing favorites! There’s also performances, contests, and in the back of the hall a WWII era film projector showing period newsreels! Thank to this years performers, sponsors and vendors.
