The Vintage Oasis is now released! This tropical themed weekend escape will take place Friday February 14th to Sunday the 16th, 2025. (Yes, the perfect Valentine’s Day getaway for that special someone!) Come for a wide selection of vintage vendors as well as a tribute to the world of mid-century Tiki themed fantasy. The vintage market will be open all day Saturday featuring all eras of top-shelf clothing and antique goods. For those who come for the tropical flavor, there will be activities all weekend including: great cocktails, live music/dancing, classes, a pool party, and the Grand Luau! The setting for the weekend is the Palm Court and Ballroom of the (perfectly vintage) Sturbridge Host Hotel. There are several ticket options based on how much of the event you want to attend. We’re getting close to another fun and relaxing afternoon at the Salem Common Lawn Party Picnic! Polish up your dance shoes and get ready for a day of 1920’s music by Annie and the Fur Trappers, lawn games, antique autos, and an assortment of vintage vendors. This FREE event is a great way to get started in the vintage hobby. Bring a picnic blanket or chairs and meet fellow history/fashion enthusiasts. August 10th GBVS is having a free 1970’s meet-up at Rollerama in Kendall Square, Boston.  This event features free skate rentals and a vintage market put on by our friends and hosts of the Brighton Bazaar.  GBVS members will be there from 3-6pm. Come skate with us in a groovy 70’s outfit and then we’ll find somewhere to head for dinner after!

The Rebecca Nurse Homestead Museum of Danvers is having their annual summer fundraiser “Gala Day” on June 8th. The very first “Gala Day & Garden Party Bazaar” was held in 1912 right after becoming a museum, and continued through the 1920’s. Today the museum has brought back the tradition and with the help of GBVS we’re putting together a very special lawn party this year!
