GBVS is helping promote a new act coming to Boston, the “Vaughn Monroe Show”! This is a tribute show to the great bandleader of the 1940’s. Dan Gabel of the Abletones Band has put together this 24-piece ensemble show featuring music, the Moon Maids vocal group, comedy sketches, and vintage ads.
GBVS members will be attending in their 1940’s outfits. This will make for a very authentic feel in the historic Somerville Theater! Come dressed up or not, there’s no requirement. This is a fun show for the whole family and will have a special discount for our veterans on this holiday weekend. The event will end at Charlie’s Kitchen for drinks and food after. See you there!
It’s time once again for the Roaring Twenties Lawn Party at the Crane Estate! This year you have the option of attending one or two days on the weekend of August 5th and 6th. GBVS will be there again supporting the Vintage Vendor Fair and Antique Autos.
The Estate has greatly improved the landscaping in the last couple of years so check it out if you haven’t attended recently. Also, there is an option for house tours during the event this year. Don’t delay in getting your ticket, there’s a good chance it may sell out! Click the image to go to the Roaring Twenties website.
