March 15 GBVS Saturday Night Swing Out! Brookline, MA
The Saturday Night Swing Out is back at the Larz Anderson Museum for the best live jazz and swing dancing. We are pleased to welcome a really great band for dancing, “Annie and the Fur Trappers! March 29-30 Retromania! — Brighton, MA Brighton, MA
This weekend-long Retrospective Expo in Boston features over 120 vendors showcasing the best vintage fashion, collectible classics, & nostalgic goods in New England! May 10 GBVS 80th Anniversary Victory Dance! Shirley, MA
GBVS will be partnering again with the Ft. Devens Museum to celebrate the 80th Anniversary of the end of WWII. This USO style dance will return to the 1930’s American Legion dance hall with the Compaq Big Band! Look forward to a free dance lesson and refreshments, plus a cash bar. June 20-22 GBVS Newport Jazz Age Weekend! Newport, RI
GBVS returns to Newport for another exciting Jazz Age Weekend! For 2025, we are changing format and location from years past. We are now further down Ruggles Ave right next to the Breakers Mansion. To go along with this year’s “collegiate” theme, we are having a “Homecoming Lawn Party Picnic” with live jazz during the day and an “Ice Cream Social” Saturday night. We are also planning some new outings including a guided tour of Belcourt Mansion and a cruise to Rose Island Lighthouse for a vintage beach party!
July 23 Midsummer Reverb! — A Retro Futurist Surf Spectacle! Somerville, MA
Hit the beach without leaving town! Two of the East Coast’s most forward thinking surf bands: the Electric Heaters and Czarna Wolgastar team up for an evening of instrumental madness at the Burren of Somerville. Reverb-drenched guitars, groovy rhythms and tropical drink specials make for the summer getaway of the season. Featuring live drawing by acclaimed comic book artist, Dirk Tiede. Feb 5-8, 2026 GBVS Nor’Easter Island Tropical Weekend! Sturbridge, MA
The Greater Boston Vintage Society welcomes you to Nor’Easter Island! The first and only immersive tropical weekend of New England! At our perfectly decorated hotel, enjoy an assortment of live bands, Tiki cocktails, classes, and vintage vendors, all culminating to a Grand Luau and dance on Saturday night. This year’s theme will take you to the 1940’s where you will find yourself immersed in a pre-war Pearl Harbor setting. GBVS is invited to attend a special night of the Boston debut of Lizzy and the Triggermen! This special show at City Winery is encouraging a vintage crowd in attendance. April 6 Wit’s End: The Algonquin Roundtable (NETO) Boston, MA
Join the New England Tweed Outing Group for an afternoon in the Library of the Boston Park Plaza Hotel for a celebration of the writings and witticisms of the infamous members of the Algonquin Roundtable. May 11 Canoedeling on the Concord Concord, MA
Join the New England Tweed Organization for a leisurely paddle on the Concord River with an hour at the North Bridge for a riparian repast. Once full and jolly, we head back up the river and meet at the Concord Tavern for a pint.

June 8 Rebecca Nurse Homestead – 1920’s Lawn Party! Danvers, MA
Join the museum for their annual summer fundraiser “Gala Day”! The very first “Gala Day & Garden Party Bazaar” was held at the Rebecca Nurse Homestead in 1912 right after becoming a Museum, and they continued to be held annually through the 1920’s!
July 27 GBVS “3-Hour Tour Tropical Evening” Groveland, MA

Aug 10 Retromania at Rollerama! Boston, MA
GBVS will be having a 1970’s free meet-up at Rollerama in Kendall Square, Boston. This event features free skate rentals and a vintage market put on by our friends and hosts of the Brighton Bazaar. Come skate with us in a fun 70’s outfit and then we’ll head somewhere for dinner after. GBVS members will be there from 3-6pm.

September 26 Driving Through History – A Jazz Age Celebration! Amesbury, MA

The American Heritage Museum presents the Battle for the Airfield World War II Re-Enactment. See rare vehicles on display and an encampment with over 350 reenactors. The museum encourages guests to come dressed in period fashion and picnics are allowed.

A viewing of the Titanic Exhibition is a great excuse for us to get dressed up and spend a day in Boston. February 5 GBVS/NETO Vintage Sledding/Skating Brookline, MA
Join the NETO (the New England Tweed Outing club) for a day of sledding (or skating) at Larz Anderson Park. This is a great location for a get together. Bring your sleds and hot cocoa, we’ll provide the classic big toboggan. If no snow, we will rent skates at the rink nearby.
March 5-6 Winter Wonderland at the Mountain View Grand (GBVS) Whitefield, NH
Come for a vintage weekend in the White Mountains with all sorts of fun ideas in store. We’ll start off with cross-country skiing and a stop at the Mountain View farm. Then after freshening up, a formal dinner, drinks, and games by the fire! See the GBVS Facebook Group for more info.
April 30 WWII Victory Dance (GBVS) Shirley, MA

One of the longest running and largest vintage events, the Jazz Age Lawn Party is a date to put on your summer calendar! Taking place on Governors Island, it’s a beautiful escape from the city and the perfect historic setting for dancing, performances, contests, vendors and more!
June 18-19 Tanks, Wings, and Wheels – Collings Foundation Stow, MA
See cars and planes from the beginning of the 20th century, listen to radio show music of the period and see military vehicles from all decades. This was an amazing organization to visit before, and now with the addition of the “Military Heritage Museum” it is a whole day adventure!
June 24-26 Newport Art Deco Weekend! (GBVS) Newport, RI – Event Page
GBVS (FINALLY) returns to Newport for another exciting Art Deco Weekend at Salve Regina’s Fairlawn Estate! The theme for this year is Classic Cinema of the Art Deco Period. Let’s say Aloha and welcome you to the new GBVS Headquarters! GBVS is hosting a tribute to Hawaiian luau’s of the late 1940’s. The barn will be transformed into a sea-side shanty on the island of Oahu complete with decorations, tiki torches, and even our WWII Jeep straight over from Pearl Harbor.
