This page is to provide information about the Newport Art Deco Weekend “Day Tickets”. Tickets will go on sale starting in March. A link will be posted here when they are active. Watch the GBVS Facebook page (link TBA) or join our email list for updates by emailing “firstname.lastname@example.org”.
The price of $85 per person is for full access to all of Saturday’s events. This includes all workshop classes on the schedule page as well as the Black-Tie Ball! A 1920’s to 40’s outfit is suggested but not required for this event. At noon there will be a break for a 1920’s style picnic on the beautiful lawn. The theme for this year’s event is “Classic film of the Art Deco Age”. Activities and classes during the day will focus on this theme. Check back for updates to highlight these details.
We will have a selection of professional dance instructors providing classes this year. All classes are suited for a total beginner unless otherwise noted. The class instructor will gauge the groups ability and ask for your input if the group would like harder material. We will take a break at 4pm for people to get ready for dinner and the evening’s entertainment.
The Black Tie Ball starts at 8:30pm with Micael Arenella and the Dreamland Orchestra Quintet! There will be an affordable selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks available. Live music will end at 11:30pm, but we will keep DJ music going for however late people want to dance. There is no curfew for the hall! Day Tickets are for Saturday’s activities only. Tickets are non-refundable but you can sell your tickets to another person or post that you have one to sell on the Facebook event page. Just let GBVS know so that we can change the registration name.
This year there will also be a ticket option for just attending the Black Tie Ball only. This price is $49 and you can get your ticket at the same link as the Day Tickets.
