This page is to provide information about the Newport Jazz Age Weekend “Day Tickets”.  When sales are live there will be a link above for the ticket website.  For further info check out the Newport event page on Facebook.

The price of $95 per person is for full access to all of Saturday’s events.  This includes all workshop classes on the schedule page as well as the Black-Tie Ball!  A 1920’s to 40’s outfit is suggested but not required for this event.  At noon there will be a break for a 1920’s style picnic on the beautiful lawn.  The theme for this year’s event is “The History of Black Culture in Jazz and Swing”.  Activities and classes during the day will focus on this theme.  Check back for updates to as we put together our final schedule.

We will have a selection of professional dance instructors providing classes this year.  All classes are suited for a total beginner unless otherwise noted.  The class instructor will gauge the group’s ability and ask for your input if the group would like harder material.  We will take a break at 4pm for people to go out for dinner and come back before the evening’s entertainment. 

The Black Tie Ball starts at 8:30pm.  There will be an affordable selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks available.  Live music will end at 11:30pm, but we will keep DJ music going for however late people want to dance.  Day Tickets are for Saturday’s activities but there is an option to add on the activities for Friday night.  Tickets are non-refundable but you can sell your tickets to another person or post that you have one to sell on the Facebook event page.  Just let GBVS know so that we can change the registration name.
