Event Theme: “Golden Age of Flight: Soar with us on the cool breezes of Newport!”

Friday, July 17th

12pm:                Local beach meetup for early arrivals (email gbvintagesociety@gmail.com for info)

6-8pm:                Arrival and Check-In (Ochre Lodge – 234 Ruggles Ave. Newport)

8-11pm:              Happy Landings Welcome Party in Ochre Lodge!  (Games, billiards, music, free cocktails!)

Saturday, July 18th

8:30 – 10am:        Continental breakfast served in kitchen area (weekend guests only)

9:30am – 12pm:  Guest check-in / Materials given out for GBVS Flyers paper airplanes (218 Ruggles Ave. Newport)

11 – 6pm:      Brighton Bazaar “Retromania: Summer Shindig” Vintage Show (141 Pelham St.)

11am -12pm: Beginner Swing Dance Lesson on Founders Veranda

12 – 5pm:        Lawn Party Picnic and Games on Founders Hall Lawn!  (218 Ruggles Ave. Newport)

12 – 1pm:      Live music by the “Nouveau Jazz Band“!

1 – 1:20pm:       Group picture on the lawn

1:20 – 2pm:     GBVS Flyers Aerial Contest!

2 – 3pm:       2nd set of music by the “Nouveau Jazz Band“!

6:30-10pm:        Dinner and Dancing at the Newport Elks Mansion (141 Pelham St. – Separate ticket required)

8:45 pm:          Dance performance by the Boston Lindy Bomb Squad at the Newport Elks Mansion

11pm – 12am Midnight stroll on Cliff Walk by the ocean!

Sunday, July 19th 

8:30-10am:      Continental breakfast served in kitchen area (Checkout for weekend guests at Founders Hall)

11-11:30am:     Travel to Beavertail Lighthouse.   (Beavertail Rd. Jamestown, RI 02835)

12-2pm:        Picnic and kite flying on the lawn, plus tour of the museum!  (Bring your blankets, vintage bathing suit, etc)

2:00pm:            Take the long flight back home!
