GBVS is proud to announce a new event being planned with Boston University’s Archeology Department! In perfect timing for the season, they will be having a special gala featuring a Victorian era themed “mummy enrolling”. Don’t be alarmed, this is not the real thing, but a reenactment of events and a lecture which is sure to give you compelling insight to the grotesque fascinations of the age.
This intimate evening is sponsored by BU for an affordable admission price but act now as tickets are going fast! The evening will also include a display of Egyptian artifacts from the Gabel museum and light hors d’oeuvres and drinks. Plus, the night’s entertainment will take place at the BU “Castle” a 19th-century Tudor style mansion! Click the above picture for tickets/info.
This just in! GBVS will hosting a 1950’s sock hop to knock your socks off! Saturday October 8th, at the Bishop Mackenzie Center in Newton, MA we will have a night of 1950’s excitement provided by the amazing Doo Wop Deville Band! Come early for the car show and vendors, then get dinner with friends and come back for the free dance lesson at 7pm. Doo Wop Deville goes on at 8pm.
