This just in!  GBVS will hosting a 1950’s sock hop to knock your socks off!  Saturday October 8th, at the Bishop Mackenzie Center in Newton, MA we will have a night of 1950’s excitement provided by the amazing Doo Wop Deville Band!  Come early for the car show and vendors, then get dinner with friends and come back for the free dance lesson at 7pm.  Doo Wop Deville goes on at 8pm.  We will have a great selection of antique autos, vendors, and themed activities!  More info to come, look for an announcement soon with the official website and Facebook page!

Come Join GBVS and the Boston Tweed group for a picnic outing to historic Nantasket Beach in Hull, MA.  Bring your picnic basket/blanket and enjoy a day at the beach as if it was the 1920’s.  The day starts at 10:30am, Saturday July 9th.  See full information on the event page by clicking the photo above!

The Newport Art Deco Weekend was a huge success!  Thank you to all for making this the best GBVS event yet.  The weather was perfect and everyone looked fabulous!  Click the picture above for access to the photo album by Tyna Harber Caldarone of Vintage Girl Studios.  I can’t wait till next year’s event!

This year’s White Lightning Ball was another sold-out roaring good time!  Thanks to everyone who was able to attend.  The night was filled with great dancing and wonderful outfits!  Tyna of Vintage Girl Studios was our official photographer for the evening and she put together a terrific photo album.  Click the photo below for pics!

This year’s Ragtime Skate has been moved to Saturday, February 6th due to a weather postponement.  If there happens to be snow this time, we will bring a couple vintage toboggan sleds to enjoy following the skating!  Meet at the Kirrane Skating Rink, 1pm at Larz Anderson Park in Brookline.  Skating is $7 and rentals are only $6!  After the fun we will be heading to a local pub for drinks and possibly dinner.  See this link for full info about Saturday’s event:  http://www.facebook.com/events/1645846932343851
